About the Author
Rick Fenoglio is an internationally-known American soccer coach educator who grew up playing basketball, American football, baseball and other sports in Illinois and Tennessee, before falling in love with soccer. A former semi-pro player and NCAA SEC MVP, Rick has recently retired from a 30-year career as a Senior Lecturer in Football (Soccer) and Sport Science at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. In this role he worked with Manchester United FC, Manchester City FC and major soccer governance organizations in the UK. In 2007, he co-founded the policy-changing campaign ‘Give Us Back Our Game!’ and is recognized as a youth sport leader in the areas of small-sided games, ethics in youth soccer and skill development.
Currently Rick is a professional football scout for Manchester City FC and lives near Sevenoaks, UK with his partner Corinne….and has two amazing daughters.
